On the occasion of the 57th anniversary of our Basic Law, a welcome opportunity to listen to it here. The cover was photographed with my glass plate technique in the forest of Cologne’s green belt. Just like this park around Cologne, the Basic Law was co-created by Germany’s first chancellor, Konrad Adenauer, and was one of the most important parts of the founding of the Federal Republic of Germany.
